hello,
the projects page is up now - for the past projects, I've decided to password-protect them.
With all this AI-vacuuming-up-everything happening going on, I wasn't comfortable having everything out in the open.
Maybe it's paranoia, but, even though I don't think my content is bad in any way, you just never know how it's going to be interpreted and linked together in the future, especially when it's computers doing it - and these computings get passed around from one company to another, from one country government to another.
The internet used to be a place where you can say something and it usually disappears after a while because the forum stops being hosted or the online game gets shut down or what have you.
now there's an inhuman permanence to everything, and it's unsettling.
of course, maybe password-protecting does nothing for the next generation of AI agents, but I guess that's the cost of choosing to exist on the internet.

It's been a few months now since I've quit Discord.
My server has kindly moved over to Signal for me, which I can't express how grateful I am for that, and also many of my highly esteemed friends!! thank you!!
Discord is already leaking data like people's ID documents, and I think it's only a matter of time before some authority body gets access to all the plaintext messages of everyone. and that stuff is permanent!
it's all just so SPOOKY I couldn't do it anymore.

I do hope Signal gets some features, like a channels feature. And then I deeply wish for other unnecessities like custom emojis.
